A CORPO LIBERO

“There is nothing comic outside of what is properly human.”
(Henri Bergson)

A corpo libero is a work that mocks the female condition starting from the joyful fluidity of the body, exploring from a dramaturgical point of view a time of inadequacy, a time of omnipotence and a time of acceptance in a contamination of expressive techniques.

A dancing body that occupies full and empty spaces, that relates with its curves and its ‘soft parts’: imperfection that becomes normality, one’s physicality as the surface of an inner world. Silvia Gribaudi’s “A corpo libero” is a desecrating performance brought into urban spaces, the cry of revolt of a woman seeking freedom.

“Silvia Gribaudi es una artista singular que cultiva el feísmo y un humor ácido; su llamativo físico ya va a contracorriente”
Roger Salas – EL PAIS 20-12-2012

“Gribaudi is endowed with generous curves, a piquant sense of humour, great comic timing and an adorable willingness to throw caution (and the teensy, stretchy frock that causes her so much embarrassment) to the wind.”
Mary Brennan, Tue 7 Aug 2012, heraldscotland.com

A Corpo Libero is a unique antidote to the omnipresent youth glamour market, and Gribaudi is hilarious, self- aware, and all-woman.”
Lorna Irvine, Tue 7 Aug 2012, theskinny.co.uk

A Corpo Libero is a glorious and life affirming piece; short in length but big in heart. Everything is pitch perfect – lighting, sound, staging and choreography. A joy and a gem.”
